Your free new year journal
A little gift from me to you. Whatโs on your bucket list this year?
Happy New Year Lovely Wildhearts!
Last night, I watched the fireworks from my kitchen window enjoying a Baileyโs hot chocolate topped with cream. After a nesting type of morning making chicken noodle soup, I realised that the new year was about nurturing. I felt quite inspired by this thought, so I danced to this fresh start class in front of the tv, followed by a leisurely stroll into town. As I swished along through the crunchy leaves, I pondered on my word of the year.
Itโs DAYDREAM. Whatโs yours?
Instead of trying to change myself, or trying to control the uncontrollable, Iโm going to focus my energy on daydreaming. Daydreaming for me is about finding the beauty in life and falling in love with a life you want to create.
I can see that this is going to lead to a slower pace of life. No social media, lots of reading in snuggly spaces, long soaks in the bath, PJ days, early nights, more long walks, more writing, a spot of travel and cooking up yummy delights in the kitchen.
What we focus our energy on grows.
As somebody who is prone to worrying to the point where Iโm a homeless bag lady on the street (apparently therapists call it catastrophising!), I figured my energy is better spent on using my thoughts to focus on how I want my life to be instead of what might (it probably wonโt) go wrong!
There is a caveat with this. Iโm not stepping into the realms of toxic positivity and using daydreams to check out from my reality. Iโm not using daydreams to distract me from uncomfortable feelings. No! I plan to be very much in my body and present which is why Iโm also signing up to a dance class next week (thank you Pete Wicks and Strictly!).
To help secure in my daydreams and make sure my attention stays firmly with my heartโs desires, I made a brand new digital Bucket List Journal for 2025.
Scroll down if you canโt wait to see it!
Backstory: If youโre one of my lovely subscribers, youโll already know that 2024 was the year I remembered I had gumption, and I decided that 2025 wasnโt going to continue on the same path of twisting myself into a pretzel to please other people.
No new year resolutions. No goals. No diets. Nothing that doesnโt feel good in my body. 2025 was going to be the year I followed my heart and prioritised my dreams, and I thought what better way to commit to that than writing it all down in a journal.
